Cattle prices are hitting a record high across the country, as throughput in the marts reach their Autumn peak. A lively atmosphere surrounds the marts, as farmers come out to buy. Exporters are struggling, as Farmers and Finishers are armed with Single Farm Payment funds and replenished fodder supplies.

This week is showing to be fruitful as weaning bulls are meeting a €35.00 average ahead of last year and Heifers up almost €50.00 on average on 2012.

Beef trade is strengthening on a daily basis with factories actively.
